My peers and I are both a little obsessed with TikTok, particularly with beauty reviews and videos such as What I Do In A Day In New York City, which I find to be particularly entertaining. TikTok is a microblogging platform that allows users to upload videos in seconds. While scrolling through the products on my For You Page a couple of weeks ago, I came across the Bite Beauty Lip Lab, which was one of the products I purchased. This video immediately captured my attention, and I knew I had to visit this enchanted beauty haven to get a sense of what it was like.

You can design your own custom lipstick at the Lip Lab, which is an in-person experience (though you can now book virtual appointments) that allows you to choose the shade, packaging, and finish of your wholesale lipstick. We'll go into more detail about that later in this article. Current locations in the United States include Brooklyn, Soho (both in New York City), Irvine (both in California), Las Vegas (both in Nevada), and Irvine (both in California).

It goes without saying that I wanted to document my visit to the Lip Lab so that I could provide you with all of the pertinent information you require about how to prepare for your visit and what to expect while you are there. Below you'll find my unvarnished opinions on the Lip Lab, along with information on how you can get a taste of the experience for yourself.

Reservations Are Acceptable at this time.

The Lip Lab is extremely popular, and it is necessary to make a reservation in advance if you want to have your own  lipstick lipstick created at the establishment. Customers can make reservations for in-person experiences at the store as well as virtual online sessions through the store's website.

I made my reservation approximately two weeks in advance in order to ensure that I would be able to get the date and time slot that I preferred. Because it was extremely crowded at the time of my reservation, I strongly advise you to do the same as well.

Personal Experiential Learning in My Own Life

My decision to attend in person was primarily motivated by the fact that I live in close proximity to the Soho location and wanted to be in the room with everyone else to witness the magic firsthand. For starters, we've finally been given permission to do things in real life, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get my hands on some freebies while I still had the chance.

Walking in and being greeted by the lovely employee behind the counter, who inquired about my reservation and the time it was scheduled for, I felt immediately at ease. I was immediately relaxed. As soon as she finished checking me in, I waited for a few minutes by an extra countertop they had set aside in the front of the store while they finished cleaning up after the previous customers. Beautiful, eye-catching pigment displays were set up in a pleasing, aesthetically pleasing arrangement on the wall behind the lab; it was a visually stimulating display that I found very appealing. Finally, the Lip Lab offers a plethora of photo opportunities that can be shared on social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, as well as other platforms.

During my visit to the Color Expert, who was located in the back of the store on a stool, I was guided through the process of creating my own wholesale lipstick. I found the whole thing to be quite fascinating to witness.

Preparation is required before beginning this process, and I had already decided on a bright pink hue by the time I started. In response to a question from the makeup artist, I informed her that my sources of inspiration were Barbie and Disney princesses, in order to assist her with visualizing what I was looking for on the runway. For the purpose of ensuring that the shade was a perfect match for me, she took my hair color, skin tone, undertones, and eye color into consideration when creating the shade.

Each of the small containers of pigments, which were spread across the plexiglass and contained an enormous variety of different colors in a variety of different combinations, contained approximately 50 small containers of pigments in total. Several questions about my preferred finishes (satin, luminous, sheer, and matte), as well as the types of scents (mango, vanilla, lime, and mint), elicited affirmative responses from me.

Consider the following:Consider the following points before you start freaking out like I did about the prospect of creating a wholesale lipstick that also has a fragrance:In spite of the fact that I do not care for perfumed cosmetics, the fragrance in this product was extremely subtle.

For my look, I opted for a matte finish and a fragrance that had a hint of lime in the fragrance. After a brief introduction, my Color Expert got to work mixing and matching colors together, and she even gave me the opportunity to experiment with them in between while she worked her magic on the entire room. As soon as she created a new color combination, she wrote it down on a small dry-erase board so that when we discovered one that I liked, she could reproduce it in larger quantities.

After a number of failed attempts, I was finally successful in finding the one that worked for me. It is undeniable that all of the colors she created were beautiful and nuanced, but when given the opportunity to design your own lipstick, you want it to be something that speaks to both you personally and those around you. With regard to the color, I chose a bright pink with a very slight blue undertone that I thought was appealing.

After everything was in place, I came up with a unique name for my  to go along with it. Are you able to make a guess as to what it might be? The author Casey Kasem creates a fictional character by the name of Casey and includes him in his novel Casey. What a unique concept you have here!

It was my Color Expert's idea to melt the wax in the microwave before pouring it into a mold, where it hardened to form the final product. However, she was eventually successful in having my name engraved onto a custom lipstick tube at the top of the lab, which was done using an expensive machine that they had in front of the lab. Take a look at how incredible that is: how cool is that?

As soon as everything was finished, I was handed my , which was packaged in a small pink bag with the cutest lipstick-themed tissue paper (the amount of thought and detail that went into this experience is astounding!). As every millennial understands, in order for certain things to be considered successful, photographs must be taken; and believe me when I say that Bite Beauty's Lip Lab was created with Instagram in mind. There was even a ring light available to ensure that your lighting was perfect before you even arrived.

Observations on the Current Situation as a Whole

Overall, my visit to Bite Beauty's Lip Lab was a fantastic experience, and I would return there without hesitation in the near future. Although you will not be able to create your own  at the Lip Lab, it is still worthwhile to visit because the photo opportunities are worth the trip in and of themselves.

It is well worth the ding in your bank account to purchase this product, even though the $60 price tag appears excessive when compared to what you get for your money. The Color Experts go above and beyond their job description to ensure that you have a positive experience and are satisfied with the color you have selected.

In the event that you cannot attend in person, or if you cannot justify spending $60 on bespoke lipstick, Strawberry Froze is a similar shade and finish to bespoke lipstick that can be purchased online.
